Basic Math: -Wisdom Teeth + Drawing = Fluff
Levy scratches his pencil against the back of yesterday's math homework, mentally cursing himself over and over for not knowing what to write on the card. What do people normally write on "Get Better Soon!" cards, anyway? Sorry you had your wisdom teeth taken out! Hopefully, this impersonal piece of cardstock will make you smile! And hopefully that smile won't hurt too much on account of the aforementioned wisdom teeth!
He half-considers writing that down, but remembers how awful that would be of him. Even if it's funny. Well, not that funny. It doesn't matter! He can't just sign it like Lydia did. He's his boyfriend, he has to do something special.
He lifts his pencil, looking down at the page. He did a very, very basic doodle of Harvey kicking a ball. It's really good proportion-wise; he could easily build it out into a proper drawing. Why do all of his best drawings happen on the back of homework assignments?
But it gives him an idea.
Harvey gazes at the card from Lydia and Levy, perched on his nightstand. Allowing the sweet cool of an ice pack to radiate through his jaw as his eyes trace open the inside contents. The card itself is nothing special. Simple. Hallmark. Whatever. But inside is Lydia's signature, with a little coin doodle to dot the i, and Levy's. But Levy's signature isn't for the card itself; it's for the side opposite the printed saying.
There's a little drawing of him taped to it, and if he looks hard enough, he swears he can see a reversed math problem through the paper. The tape holding it into the card is covered up with some stickers, stars on two corners, and smiley faces on the other two, half in purple and half in blue. All alternating. That is what his signature is for, a proclamation of his work, created just for him.
